Book 25 Complete!

Oh, yes! I'm up to Book 25 in my Goal. 25 books read since May of this year. I'm slacking, I know. While I was on Vacation I put reading on hold and did other activities. One of them being "Traveling". I love to travel. My husband and I are thinking about cities we haven't been to and want to travel to in the next year. Well, here it is...I finished Book 25 in my list to read. Yes, I had to wait for this book for only a couple of months. "Blood Promise" by Richelle Mead. Her 4th book to the Vampire Academy Series. Now that I've finished it...what do I think of it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! It has some twists that I wasn't expecting and the characters are GREAT! Let's just say my favorite character in the book will forever be Dimitri, but now he is a bad guy in this book. Previous books, he wasn't. The real twist was of the main character Rose. She found out something interesting in this book, that I wasn't expecting and believe me the author threw me off on this. I loved it though and I'm looking forward to the 5th book which is due out next year in May. Ugh! I have to wait that long though. I'm going to go insane. Well, not literally. I have other books that need to be read before then. One of the books being the one I put on hold once I got "Blood Promise" in the mail. "Lover Enshrined"...the book I put on hold, will now be picked back up and finished hopefully by tomorrow or Tuesday. I need to get "Lover Avenged", the next one of the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series. Then I'll have to wait until the beginning of next year for "Lover Mine", which isn't far since this year has flown by like crazy. After I finish the Black Brotherhood Series, I'm going to start reading Lords of the Underworld Series again by Gena Showalter. My husband of course calls me crazy for reading all these books, but he doesn't understand once I start reading a book...I have a hard time putting the book down, especially if it lures me. Some of these books makes me feel that I'm actually there, that's how good these authors are. So here's to my next book that I'm back to reading. My goal now is to read 50 books before 2010 and I'm halfway done now. I'll have a goal of 100-150 books to read in 2010, which I know I'll be able to do...thanks for my love of Barnes and Noble. My Barnes and Noble near me so well, they have a list of books they have suggested to me now to read. :) It's also great they have Starbucks in the Barnes and Noble I go to. Even my daughter is addicted to Starbucks because of the delicious cookies and Strawberry Frappucino we got last time. Yum! I'm thinking about starting a Book Club around the area I'm at...or maybe even get some of my co-workers in on the Club since I know some people at my command who love reading just like I do. I'm even getting Alexia into learning how to read more since she sees Mommy always reading. She'll next to me with her book while I'm reading and I'll help her read her book and she'll try to keep up with me when it comes to reading books. She's going to be a bookworm just like her Mommy. Oh, and let me just say this...my hubby is now picking up books to read. :) We're going to be the "Bookworm" Family. Hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend! Today is a Special Day! ;)

For me and my hubby of course. If we were still celebrating it. We've been with each other so long, we're actually just saying "Happy Anniversary" and that's it today. We have too many anniversaries to celebrate. This is our Dating Anniversary Day. How many years have we been together? You'll just have to ask...because believe me I've felt like I've been married to my husband for 20 years already. LOL But that's not the case. :) We're actually going to celebrate this day on my birthday next weekend. Since , "ahem" , is a 4 day weekend. I love having a long weekend for my birthday. ;) So to my Amazing and Loving Husband, I love you very much! Happy Anniversary!!! I will forever cherish this day! :) It was the day....my husband asked me out. :) I love you more and more everyday, Phillip! You are my bestfriend, soulmate, better half! It's HERE!!

My 4th book to the Vampire Academy Series is HERE. I'm SO FRIGGIN' ECSTATIC! I'm putting my other book "Lover Enshrined" by J.R. Ward on hold for a bit. I still will be reading it during lunch break at work...but right now my focus is on Richelle Mead's new book "Blood Promise". Oh Yes! This is one of the books I've been waiting for. Her Vampire Academy Series is GREAT...I couldn't put down the first 3 books. My poor hubby and daughter got neglected when I was reading those books. The next book I'm waiting on is "Tempted" by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast. It won't come out until October. I have two more months. Hopefully, it will go by fast. :) So right now I'm starting to read "Blood Promise". Yes I'm a Book Worm...and Yes I'm darn Proud of it!! :) I'll be upset once I finish reading it though, so maybe I should read it slowly. Richelle Mead will release the next installment to the Series in May of 2010 which is already titled "Spirit Bound". I'll let everyone know once I'm done reading it and what I think about it.

I had to share my joy about today. Gena Showalter even announced it on her own blog. Happy Release Day to all those Amazing Authors out there! Gena Showalter released her newest books today and so did Richelle Mead. I'm so excited!!! I pre-ordered Richelle Mead's book a few weeks ago to make sure I got it. It's going to arrive sometime tomorrow. Two days early from the original date that Barnes & Noble told me. :) I'm going to have to order Gena Showalter's books soon also. I'm still trying to finish the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, but it's kind of difficult now since I'm working and also attending classes. Ugh! I read as much as I can, whenever I have free time. Although, I have a hard time putting down a book once I start reading, so I have my husband stop me if I go too long on reading. I'm so excited to read Richelle Mead's new book from the Vampire Academy Series: Blood Promise. :) I may have to put my other books on hold until I finish reading Blood Promise. Can you tell I'm a Book Worm? :) I keep telling my husband I need to get a big Book Shelf to put my books on. I'm going to have my own library soon. I can't wait though to re-read all my books once I'm done reading my new ones...which won't be until 2011 it seems. LOL

My To-Do List JUST GOT FULL!

Oh goodness...my to do list, just got even longer since I checked into my new command. I have to work on going to school hopefully this Fall, if not then Spring. My goal is to get my Bachelor's before I get out and work on getting my Master's when I get out in two years. I have to get my A+ Certification in Security next month. Just found out that's a requirement now. Ugh! I have to go through a A+ Security Bootcamp for a few days and then take the test and then I'll have one of my Certs. I'll have to get another Cert by January. I have several medical appointments that need to be made which is definitely a must to get complete. One of them being to set up surgery for my right leg. I have so much more to do and to top it off. I have my Photography Business and Boutique business....So I'm going to be busy for the next two years it seems. And I'm going to love every minute of it. It will make the next two years go by quickly in the Navy and before you know it I'll be a Civilian, a full-time student and living down in Pensacola. :) Or maybe I'll be offered a job with the FBI for Network Security. :) My husband already said if I get offered a job like that, I shouldn't pass it down. He'll support me 110%. So if I don't blog much, now you know why. I'm still getting adjusted to my command which so far is going GREAT! Hope everyone is having an Amazing Week!

Book 24.....COMPLETE!

Okay I finished the 5th book to the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series last night. The 24th book since May. I'm one more book away from 25 books and I'm 26 books away from my goal for this year. Let's just say I read about 200 pages or more yesterday because I couldn't put the book down. I was fixated on the characters in the story and how the book would finished. J.R. Ward is an amazing author. "Lover Unbound" definitely was different from the other books and VERY INTERESTING. :) I have two more books to read of the series "Lover Enshrined" and "Lover Avenged". I also pre-ordered the 4th book to the Vampire Academy Series which I finished back in June: Blood Promise. It comes out August 25th, 2009, so I should get in 3 days after the publish date. :) I'm looking forward to that book. I think I should try to re-read the other 3 books before then. We'll see though. I start back working at my New Command tomorrow, so we'll see how my schedule is. I usually read books during my lunch break. So that's the status of my "Reading" right now. I have lots more books I need to read and share about.

Our New Member will be here in 8 weeks.

My husband is one happy Hubby today. He found out the puppies were born yesterday. The breeder emailed us a photo of the puppies. Of course my hubby wants to take a drive to see the puppies so he can decide which Puppy will be our new family member. We still haven't decided on a name. It's a Italian Mastiff (or otherwise known as a Cane Corso), so the name has to be Italian name. :) Can't wait to meet our new family member. My poor two cats are going to be scared for awhile once the puppy takes residence. Hubby will be busy with his newborn. LOL Because this Mama isn't taking care of a puppy. Alexia is going to have a new playmate around the house. Hopefully, she won't try to dress him up or put him in her toy stroller, like she did with the puppies down in Florida from Faith (My Dad's Husky). I'll post a pic once we go and see the puppies and decide. Hopefully, we'll have a name picked out by mid-October when we welcome our new family member to our family.

My Last Day of Vacation

It's been awhile since I updated this blog. My vacation is almost over with. :( Oh, well. How I see it, I have my countdown to begin now to the day I get out of the Navy. Yipee!!! Two more years and back to the Civilian Life for me "For Good". I'll be attending College Full time. Tomorrow, I'll be checking into my New Command. I'm looking forward to it, but also dreading it. It's shore duty and the hours will be strange. I'll most likely be on shift work which will be hard to adjust to at first, but what I've been told, I'm going to enjoy having 3-4 days off after my work is done. Lot of traveling for me if that's how my schedule will be like. What am I doing for my last day of vacation? I'm spending it with my family, of course. What about Photography, well as of right now I'm taking a needed break. It's going to go full force during the Winter time though. I have a Wedding in December that I'll be tagging along to. :) Can't wait to work with a Local Photographer in the area. He's been working as a Photographer for 10 years now. He's going to teach me what he knows and I'm going to teach him about editing photos. :) I wasn't going to be photographing anymore Weddings until I was officially out of the Navy, but I have several family members and friends that talked me out of it. I guess I can take on a few a year. I'm more into focusing on other Photography paths at the moment. :) One path that requires travel. In other news, my husband and I are saving up to go to the 2012 Olympics in London. That is one adventure, I'm looking forward to, unless we have a baby before then. We'll see though, we're still be saving for it. We're also thinking about going to Hawaii on my 28th birthday. My birthday in 2011 falls on Labor Day, which is my original birth date. I was born on Labor day in '83. :) What better way to celebrate it, but with my family in Hawaii. A place I've always wanted to travel to. That's it for now on updates and such. I promise to post more. I'll even post how my check in goes tomorrow. Let me not forget to congratulate my Sister-in-law, Tara, on teaching 3rd grade this year. :) Congrats, Mrs. Papillion!!! :) I know all your 3rd grade students are going to love having you as their teacher.

It's Time for Tutus, Tutu Dresses, Hair Accessories and Wings. :)

It's back to giving my little Princess her Girlie Items that she adores and also back to making them for my business. If you ever met my daughter, you'll realize she's a girlie girl. That is the reason why I started making tutus and hair accessories.
