Proof of the Houses down in GA

Click on LINK and check out one of the Houses my Hubby found down in Georgia.
OH, YES...and we are definitely looking into moving down there. =) Plus, we already have friends down there that are wanting us down there.

Relocation for the Papillion Family....Very Possible

I thought I check in since it's been awhile and I'm about to be on Vacation with my family for the next 2 weeks. Yes, this Lady is looking forward to it and I definitely need it. Lots have been going on and I need a breather for a bit...so on to the nitty gritty...
Hubby got contacted by a Company in Atlanta doing the exact same thing he's doing here in Norfolk, VA...but making WAY more. He's going to be doing a Phone Interview with the Boss very soon and he'll get word if he gets the Job afterwards. Yes, that means he'll have to re-locate down there before I'm out of the Navy, but of course I told him to take it no matter what. I won't have much longer in the Navy and I'll have to stay up here for a year before we can offically fully relocate. I'll hold down the fort here in Virginia Beach, while he looks for a house down in Atlanta, GA.
OMG...can you say...the houses are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS down there. A 5 bedroom, two story house with a big size yard is worth $150,000 down there and up here it would run for $400,000. Yes, we are seeing this as a sign, that we should re-locate. This couldn't come a better time for us.
I've also looked at schools down there just in case also. Georgia State University offers both degrees that I want.
Yes this means, we'll be re-locating again in a short period notice...but we're up for it because we'll be much closer to family in Florida and we'll be making WAY more!!
All I can say is...2011 is looking to be a OUTSTANDING year for us. We definitely need it.
I'll keep you posted if Hubby does get the Job. Even if he doesn't, he already has made his mind up that we should definitely consider Atlanta are next Home.
XOXO,
FranJessca

Happy 43rd Anniversary to my In-Laws today!!!

I just want to say, these two above are my IDOLS and I love them both very dearly. 43 years that they've been together. I believe they knew each other in other lifetimes and they found each other in this lifetime again. These both are in LOVE with each other! I still can't believe what is happening right now. I still can't believe my beautiful mother-in-law was diagnosed with Cancer a few months ago. I know this is hard on my Father-in-law. She's his bestfriend, soulmate, better half. He's been in LOVE with her forever. She's taking care of him and he's taking care of her. Why did this happen to such a beautiful and loving couple? I hate CANCER! All I can do is pray for my mother-in-law and pray for my father-in-law since I know he is taking this hard. I wish I could do more. I wish there was a cure already for Cancer. So this blog is dedicated to them both...I'm going to let them know how much I love them both and how I'm glad to have them as In-Laws. I also admire them both for being married for 43 years...but all I can say is...they were MEANT to be! They are the PERFECT couple ever!! I love you both dearly!! I'm here for you both! Happy 43rd Anniversary!!!!!! You both are my INSPIRATION!!! Love always your daughter-in-law, FranJessca

Please pray for my Beautiful Mother-in-law, June

It's been a rough end of the year for my family. Back in September we received bad news about my mother-in-law's health. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. The doctors put her through chemo treatments the past couple of months, but just yesterday we found out the chemo treatments weren't working and the doctors decided to stop the chemo. Now they are giving her a few weeks to a few months. It has hit us hard. My husband of course is making a trip to Florida real soon to spend some time with his beautiful Mommy. Unfortunately, I will have to hold down the fort becasue of my work and Alexia's school schedule. I plan on making a trip down myself with my husband at a later time. This has hit me hard too since I've had two family members pass away with Cancer. I lost my Grandfather to Lung Cancer in 2004 and my Aunt Joan to Cancer in 2007. I wish they would find a cure already. My beautiful Mother-in-law shouldn't be going through this. She is such an Amazing, Strong willed Woman who is VERY well-LOVED. She has also been a Role Model to me since I met her. I'm praying now that my Mother-in-law doesn't suffer from this. I'm also praying there is a miracle somewhere. God has a plan for everything and I have faith in him. Right now I'm here to comfort my husband since this is hitting him hard. I love him dearly and I dislike seeing him go through this. He loves his Mom very much and so do I. I just wish I could down there with him during this time. I'm there in spirit with my Mother-in-law right now. We love you, June!! I'm thinking about your every day, every hour, every minute. You have been a inspiration to me. God, please help my Mother-in-law through this process and help her family also around her.

Never Looking Back. =)

I thought I post about something out of the ordinary for me, but I've had a lot of compliments lately about the way I look. My husband wanted me to look at photos of me in the past and I usually don't go into the past...but I had to look to see. Two years ago, I was only 110 lbs...close to my original weight when I joined the Navy and I was 17 years old. Eek!!! I looked awful at 110 lbs. Now here it is I may have some people out there who are hating because I have a fast metabolism. It runs in my family though. My grandfather on my father's side was skinny and my Great Uncle on my father's side is skinny too. I've been blessed with their fast metabolism. It also helps that I don't eat alot of junk food and I eat a balance diet. I also exercise regularly being in the Navy. Let's just say I'm happy with my results, after two years I'm back to my original weight...130 lbs. Yes!! It also helps when you have surgery and you are limited on what you do as far as exercising. Now I'm back to my weight, and now what am I going to do. Well...I'm not gaining and I'm not wanting to lose so I'm going to maintain. I also want to tone up a little bit more. Okay...let's get this straight 110 lbs at my height is not a healthy weight as per my favorite trainer's site. 125-140 lbs is the healthy weight for my height. So why was I 110 lbs two years ago. Well, let's go back even further. In 2005 I had my daughter. My max weight when I was pregnant with her was 140 lbs. When I had her it took me just a month or two to get down to120 lbs. Then in 2006 I went to C School and went down even further to 115 lbs when I was exercising 3 times a week with my instructors and they were kicking our butt. It also didn't help when I didn't have a appetite after I had my daughter. I'm blessed to be one of those Moms who can lose all their weight after being pregnant. Comes from my Mom's genes, I guess since she was able to lose her weight too. Moving on though, in the beginning of 2008 I was put into Recruiting duty which then everything went even down hill further. I wasn't eating right or not at all and I was stressing all the time trying to put someone in the Navy. My health wasn't great so they pulled me out of Recruting. It didn't help also when I'm anemic also. In 2009 I got stationed back in my rating and went to school and exercised back to my routine schedule and started eating better....because my Hubby made me. =) I love him so much! Then in Fall of '09 I noticed my weight was coming back and of course I was not stressed out. Then this Fall I got weighed again and found out I'm 130 lbs. HELL YEAH!! Now you think I'm crazy...LOL. I'm one of the first women you probably know who wanted to gain weight and tone while doing it. Well, I've been skinny my whole entire life. In 3rd grade I was less than 40 lbs and I had a hard time gaining, but I was eating all the time. Now though my goal for next year is to tone up even more, maintain my weight and eat even healthier. I had my physical done this year because it's required every year in the Navy. My chlorestoral is good, my blood pressure is good, everything is GREAT. My hubby is wondering how I do it. Well, maybe if he ate more vegetables and fruits and laid of the junk food and processed foods and such, he wouldn't be worried about his health right now. Men, they can be really difficult at times. Now let's see if I can maintain my weight for the next year and not lose weight. Although, I won't be worried about that next year since we have something in the works even more better for next year. =) Now that I'm able to exercise regularly again, let's hope my exercise routine doesn't make me lose, but helps me tone. As long as I maintain my usual calorie intake for my weight and also exercise 3-5 times a week depending on how I feel since right now my sinuses are acting up. Grr!! Darn weather changing from 70s to 40s and back to 60s. My nose can't handle it, mother nature!! Enough on my babbling...I just wanted to show you what I did to get back to my healthy self. 110 lbs is not healthy for someone who is 5'4". I got asked if I was aneroxic all the time and I wasn't. I just was stressed and not able to keep anything down...Now that I'm healthy looking I'm going to do everything in my power to maintain it and look even better for 2011 Summer. If not then 2012 summer...because you never know...next year may bring something that has been overdue for awhile. =) Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend...I'm off to get ready for Katie and Nick's Portrait Session at the Oceanfront. =) Looking forward to taking their photos. XOXO, FranJessca

Proud Parent of a Centerville Student of the Month for November

I had the BIGGEST surprise today from opening my little girl's bookbag and going through her SOS folder from her Kindergarten Teacher. I found a NOTE stating that Alexia was picked to be the Student of the Month for her Class for the month of November. I'M SO PROUD OF MY LITTLE GIRL. I couldn't wait to fill out the form for the teacher of Alexia's favorite things and such. She is one excited little girl too. I called my husband and let him know the good news since he's at work and also Alexia's Grandma (my Mom). Both of them are REALLY PROUD of her. We can't wait to post the sign that states she's Student of the Month in front of our house. We also can't wait to go to the little ceremony in 2 weeks that honors the Students of the Month. We are some REALLY ECSTATIC parents right now. =)
We love you, Alexia Renee!!!
Our Amazing Little Girl...who is Student of the Month for November. =)
WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

Once Upon a Time...There lived "Snow White"

It was time to take photos of Alexia in her Halloween Costume this year. She wanted to be "Snow White". Isn't she Beautiful? This is a sneak peak of the photos I took of her today. We took them in City View Park in Virginia Beach. Although, we were getting bothered by the annoying mosquitoes at the park, we still got some GREAT photos.
Alexia can't wait to go trick-or-treating this upcoming Sunday. Her bag is ready to receive lots of Candy. =)

My Baby Girl is going on her FIRST ever Field Trip

Tomorrow is my Baby Girl's first field trip and she's going to the Pumpkin Patch. Unfortunately, Mommy will not be able to attend since I have a couple of doctor appointments tomorrow. Boo!!!
I made a checklist for my little girl and myself to prepare her for her trip:
Tell her the rules of going on a field trip....Check
Have her complete her homework early so she can turn it in on Friday....Check
Pack her Lunch for her field trip (with a message from Mommy)....Check
Pick out the Clothes she will wear for tomorrows' trip...Check
Make sure to give her lots of kisses before trip...Double/Triple Check
Get Daddy prepared to take her to School first thing in the morning...Will make sure tomorrow morning, or else Daddy will get tickled by Mommy. =) LOL
And that's it right now. =)
I'm sad I won't be able to attend this field trip, but I know she'll have plenty more. I can't wait to hear how her day went at the Pumpkin Patch when I get home from my appointments.
Have fun baby girl...Mommy will be thinking about you tomorrow! I love you!!!
XOXO,

The Dream is becoming a REALITY

Ever since 2004 when I re-enlisted in the Navy, I made my mind up I would do my 2nd enlistment and that would be it. The Navy has given me everything I wanted and more. The time has come that I need to move on and grow more. I need to focus on College now. I joined the Navy for 3 reasons: 1. I wanted to serve my country 2. I wanted to find away to pay for my own College and the Navy is helping me 3. Travel outside of the United States. Well, those 3 things have happened or about to happen. I'm going to start College Autumn of next year, FULL time. I've traveled outside of the USA. I've served my country proudly. I always knew I wouldn't do the full 20 years, once I had my daughter. My daughter and husband need me at home. The Navy isn't for our family anymore. My husband works shift work and I did work shift work, but now I work either days or eves....but I don't switch on and off so quickly like I did before. The beginning of this year I was diagnosed with migraines...so my neurologist suggested the Shift work could be causing it. Since I've been taken off of shift work I haven't had a serious Migraine. Thank GOODNESS!! Those Migraines were causing me grief at work and at home. I wasn't myself when I had a migraine. It doesn't help also in the pass year that I've been at my Job, I've had more doctor appointments then I've had in my whole entire life. I'm still going to Physical Therapy, but now twice a week. My leg is still bothering me, but it's getting there. Hopefully, by the beginning of next year I'll be able to do my original PRT requirements for the Navy.
So my Dream is becoming a Reality...tomorrow I go to my Pre-Separation Class to go over what I need to do to Separate. I get to put in for TAP class and Disability Review Class. I'm looking for colleges/universities I want to go to. I'll be able to devote more time to my two businesses next year...My photography and Boutique. Hell Yeah!!! I'll be able to be there for my daughter and be a full time PTA Member at her school. Maybe even run for PTA. =) I'll be able to take her to Ballet/Tap, Cheerleading and Girls Scout without taking time off of work. I'll be there for my husband when he gets home and spend WAY more time with him. Another HELL YEAH!!! No more wearing a uniform, no more mustering, no more high school drama (hopefully...LOL) and further more no more dealing with Detailers, going underway and all the paperwork that the Navy makes us do. I'm really looking forward to being a Civilian again. I know I'll miss the Navy at times. I know I'll miss traveling to countries on a ship and meeting the people I did...but guess what the minute I get out of Active Duty Navy, I'll turn in my Active Duty ID card and get my Dependent ID card. =) I'll still be seen on Navy Bases. =) I'll still be able to do the things I did while on Active Duty...get the same benefits.
I'll still be apart of the Navy World...but not fully. =) So here it is to my NEW life that is coming in the next 9 months...actually it's a NEW beginning to my LIFE...
Active Duty Navy Sailor to College Student...I can't wait!!! Let me not forget / Wife / Mommy.
Hope everyone has a Blessed Week.
XOXO,
FranJessca

Our "Little Lady"

Isn't she adorable? She's our little Papillon Dog. Now we can say we own a Papillon Dog since our last names our "Papillion". She's our new addition and we love her. She came from Pensacola, FL from my brother in law, Chris. We are glad to have her apart of our family now and she is definitely getting spoiled. She also is making Rambo realize that small dogs can beat up on big dogs. =) She is PERFECT!!

Our New Family Member "Lady"

Just a quick post to announce our new addition to the "Papillion Family" which happens to be a little "Papillon dog" named "Lady"...she is sweet as can be, but mean when it comes to our Cane Corso Puppy, Rambo. She doesn't like Rambo so far. I'll post a picture of her once she is given a bath and I'm home from work. I can't wait to spoil her. She is absolutely "ADORABLE". =)
She's going to be my little lap dog and my other road trip buddy.

Today was the BIG day for my BABY Girl.

So here's some of my fave's from today with my princess. She was really eager to go to Kindergarten this morning. She picked out clothes last night to wear. She wanted to show off her Nastia Liukin's Line from JcPenney's. One of her fave gymnasts. =) She also wanted to wear her Hot Light Skechers. She's a Skechers girl just like her Mommy. She was so ready to go to school...she had her breakfast, then she put on her school clothes without an argument, then she proceeded to put her bookbag on. She wanted to brush her teeth and hair with her bookbag on. LOL She was ready to go to school by 10am since her class doesn't start until 11:20. She got on the bus and had the biggest grin on her face. She has been wanting to ride the bus to school since she was two years old. Then Mommy and Daddy met up with her at school to see her go in. She was really HAPPY! Parents got to have a "Boo Hoo Gathering" in the Media Center thanks to the PTA. =) Mommy & Daddy will be joining soon to help out at school and help in Alexia's class. We can't wait. Now, this Mama is heading out the door to pick up her little girl and hear everything about her babygirl's first day. I'll blog more once I get all the details of her first day.
I still can't believe I'm a Mommy to a Kindergartener. Mommy is SUPER proud of you, Alexia Renee!! I love you, Alexia!!

Our little Kindergartener...Alexia Renee

September 7th is getting here pretty quickly and this Mama is not looking forward to it. Well, actually deep down, I'm excited, but also I'm sad. I'm going to have a Kindergartener in my house now. My little baby girl starts Kindergarten. I'm going to miss the few hours she'll be in school every weekday, but at least I'll know she'll be in good hands and she'll be learning ALOT. Alexia is really looking forward to Kindergarten, since she was 3 years old she's been asking when she would be attending school. She's definitely my mini-me since I loved school at her age. Hopefully though she won't have a boyfriend the first day. LOL
To Our beautiful little girl...Alexia Renee...Good Luck on your first day of school. Mommy & Daddy can't wait to see your face when you board the bus in the morning of the 7th and we get to pick you up after school and hear about everything you did in school. We are so PROUD of you, Alexia!! We know you will SHINE like you always do at new things. We LOVE you!!!
Love,
Mommy & Daddy

Happy 27th Birthday to me today! =)

What a GREAT Birthday Today!

I woke up to my husband coming in from work...he got me a dozen red roses and a beautiful card. He still owes me another present, but he's waiting until next weekend since he's been working nights the past few days. He's also taking me to Texas de Brazil. Yum, I can't wait. Today I spent the day with my beautiful little girl and my friend from work, Laura. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and had some AMAZING food and of course...Cheesecake. Yum!!

A picture of the cheesecake above. It was REALLY Yummy!! We can't wait to go back again. It's been 4 years since the last time I was there.

Then we decided to head out to the Beach and walk the boardwalk, play in the water, ride some of the boardwalk rides and listen to some of the bands that were there. We loved the weather today. It was really beautiful! I love the time of year I was born...it's not too hot and not too cold. It's PERFECT!!

Also, let me not forget the giftcards, my friend Laura got me: Starbucks and Olive Garden. She knows me too well.

I want to say thank you to all my family, friends and co-workers for the "Happy Birthdays" through Facebook and phonecalls. You guys MADE my day when I woke up this morning and throughout the rest of the day.

This is the last birthday I'll be celebrating in the Navy and that makes it even more special. My next birthday I'll be a civilian and spending it with my Mom in IL. It will fall on Labor Day next year. Back in 1983 I was born on Labor Day. =)

Thank you again for everyone that made my day even more special today. Tomorrow we are going to complete the birthday weekend at the Beach...most likely the OBX.

Hope everyone has a GREAT Labor Day tomorrow.

Love,

FranJessca

My Birthday is Coming up...Oh Goodness

Didn't I just have a birthday.
Wow...it feels like yesterday I was celebrating my 26th birthday and now in just 6 days I'll be turning 27. Slow Down, YEAR!!!
Geez...this year is flying by. I can't believe it!
At exactly 8:05am on Sunday, I'll be getting my first phone call for my birthday. It's a tradition since I joined the Navy that I receive my first phone call from my Mom. I was born at 8:05am on September 5th, so of course my Mom is going to make sure to make it a REAL Birthday for me. =) Just a reminder from her on what I put her through when she was in labor with me. LOL I actually was supposed to be born on September 13th, but decided to debut myself 8 days early on Labor Day.
Next year since my birthday will be on Labor Day (my actual birthday) I'll be celebrating it in Illinois with my Mom. Yes, I'm a Labor Day baby. I was born in '83 on Labor Day and I'm PROUD of it. =)
Let's see though what I have in store for this birthday on Sunday. Last year I received so many flowers and presents. Of course it was a surprise since most of my family didn't want me knowing what I was getting. I can't wait for this year's celebration. Hopefully the Hurricane stays away and I can celebrate it with my family and friends. This year, the Cheesecake Factory will do. =)
Hope everyone has a great week. I know I will. =)
XOXO,
FranJessca

Sorry hunny...I'm liking country music now

My poor hubby is going to have to deal with country music in the house and car now. Alexia and I are loving Josh Turner. =)

Thanks to my Mom saying, I may end up converting over thanks to Josh Turner. This man has a deep sexy voice. No wonder why my Mom has a crush on him.

Looking forward to Josh Turner's next Concert. I definitely enjoyed yesterday's concert at Little Creek.

News on the Homefront for 2011

I'm getting out of the Navy towards the end of summer next year...of course that brings up what we'll be doing and where we'll be living. Hubby has been offered a much higher paying job in Washington D.C....so of course we're going to take it. I'll be off of work for at least a year once I'm out of the Navy..(well a full time job in my field at least) while I go to school fulltime to get my Degree and also work on getting more certifications. I'm also going to take some courses in Photography too. =) Can't forget about my love for Photography.
Now we have to make preparations if hubby does get the job and what we'll be doing with our house in Virginia Beach. If we can't sell it...guess we'll rent it out. =)
Life is going great right now.
Hope everyone has an amazing Friday!!
XOXO,
FranJessca
The Papillion Family are DC bound in the end of 2011!!! =)

It's been awhile.

Sorry I haven't had a chance to update this blog about what's going on.
Let's just say life has been hectic for me with lots of doctor appointments and then working the 2-10 shift on the weekdays because of my doctor appointments. I have officially 10 more months in the Navy. =)
I'm currently still dealing with Physical Therapy because of my leg. I'm starting to not limp anymore, but my leg gets stiff if I sit for too long or stand on it for too long. Can't win, I guess.
My Ortho/Oncology Doctor says my femur looks great where the tumor was. Everytime I visit him, I have to get Xrays done. I fould out the bone powder they used for my femur came from University of Miami. My leg does still feels weird though. It will take 9 months for my leg to be fully healed...at least that's what my doctor states.
As for other news, our little princess starts school two days after my birthday and of course I took leave to make sure I'm there for her, just in case. Can't believe our baby girl is going to be in Kindergarten. She's really excited! She is also signed up for her 2nd year with her Ballet Studio here in Virginia Beach. She starts Classes on September 11th. She will be more advanced in her Ballet/Tap class. Next year, we will sign her up for Hip Hip classes too. =)
Let me not forget about our trip to South Carolina coming up next month too and we are also planning a trip to New York City.
That's it for now...hope everyone is enjoying the last weeks of summer.
XOXO,
FranJessca

Exactly 4am on the 13th....

Instead of typing my daughter's birth story again I thought I share last year's posts: July 12th, 2005 story, and July 13th, 2005 birth story.
At exactly 4 in the morning my daughter will be "5" years old. Where is the TIME going? My baby girl is GROWING up way too fast. She has grown into such a BEAUTIFUL young girl in the past year. She loves getting her photo taken, loves ballet/tap, loves singing, loves going to the movies, getting her nails and hair done, loves hanging out with her friends and cousins, loves going on road trips with Mommy. She is looking forward to starting Kindergarten in the Autumn...but Mommy of course is going to be SAD. My beautiful little girl is growing up. =(
Not only she going to start Kindergarten... she is also going into her 3rd year in Ballet/Tap. This will be her 2nd year with her current Dance Studio. She is looking forward to her recital in June again. She loves being on STAGE. =)
So here's to my beautiful little girl...Mommy & Daddy love you so much and are looking forward to the next year with you. You are the most AMAZING person in our lives. You keep us on our toes and you definitely give us so much love. I don't remember a day without you in my life, baby girl. You are my Mini-Me and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Love you, Alexia Renee!!!! Hope you have the BEST Birthday ever, which we know you will. =)

Rambo...Mommy's Personal BodyGuard...Literally. LOL

Well seems this Mommy can't go anywhere without telling her Bodyguard first. Meet Rambo, our 10 month old Cane Corso Puppy. He already has the ability of being the PERFECT Guard Dog. He doesn't like solicitors and doesn't like strangers. If he feels Mommy is being threaten or is getting agitated, he gets upset and all he wants to do is calm Mommy down and also protect her.
For example, yesterday we had a solicitor that just wouldn't go away. Well, Rambo put his body in between Mommy and the screen door and warned the Solicitor he wasn't welcome. LOL Later on that evening the solicitor walked by the house and Rambo went off on him. He was next to his Mommy and he was warning the guy he wasn't welcome to even walk by. LOL
And now this evening Mommy went out to the movie with her babygirl and Rambo was whimpering for his Mommy. As soon as I got home, he wouldn't let me out of his sight and he walked me around the house.
I feel terrible for my Hubby since Rambo is supposed to be his Puppy, but it seems Rambo loves his Mommy more. =)

Book 107 "Bullet" by Laurell K. Hamilton

Okay, it is actually going on 2 am and yes, I'm still up. I had a hard time putting down "Bullet" by Laurel K. Hamilton. Laurel, you sure know how to make a reader sit on the edge of her sit. =) I think I fell even more in love with the characters in this book. I'm so HAPPY on what happened to a certain someone because he literally was wrecking Anita's life and everyone else's. Thank you! I'm also proud of Nathaniel and Damien in this book. I'm also shocked with Richard. Wow!! I never expected that from him in this book, but thank you again for making this book one of my FAVES now. I love it!!! From the very beginning to the very end, you had me wondering on what would happen next. You definitely nailed it on this book. I can't wait for your next book to come out and I know it will be a year from now, but it's so worth the wait. This is the description from the book if anyone is interested in reading it (Although I recommend you start with Book 1 first since this is Book 19): Anita Blake is back in St. Louis and trying to live a normal life-as normal as possible for someone who is a legal vampire executioner and a U. S. Marshal. There are lovers, friends and their children, school programs to attend. In the midst of all the ordinary happiness a vampire from Anita's past reaches out. She was supposed to be dead, killed in an explosion, but the Mother of All Darkness is the first vampire, their dark creator. It's hard to kill a god. This dark goddess has reached out to her here-in St. Louis, home of everyone Anita loves most. The Mother of All Darkness has decided she has to act now or never, to control Anita, and all the vampires in America. The Mother of All Darkness believes that the triumvirate created by master vampire Jean-Claude with Anita and the werewolf Richard Zeeman has enough power for her to regain a body and to immigrate to the New World. But the body she wants to possess is already taken. Anita is about to learn a whole new meaning to sharing her body, one that has nothing to do with the bedroom. And if the Mother of All Darkness can't succeed in taking over Anita's body for herself, she means to see that no one else has the use of it, ever again. Even Belle Morte, not always a friend to Anita, has sent word: "Run if you can..."
Thank you again, Laurell for such an amazing book! I definitely make this number 2 of my faves from this series.
Now off to bed ago, since it's well past my bedtime. =)
XOXO,
FranJessca

Book 106 "Spirit Bound" by Richelle Mead

I did it!! I finished "Spirit Bound" and now I can officially move onto "Bullet. YAY!! Now I can get my Anita Blake fix. Well, onto "Spirit Bound" by Richelle Mead first though. I was introduced to this series last summer and fell in love with the characters in the series. Rose, Dimitri and Adrian, of course are my favorite characters. The last book, had Rose off in Siberia tracking down Dimitri to kill him since he became Strigoi. She failed though in killing him. Now he is hunting her down. She arrived back home to the Academy and instead is giving Adrian a chance at love. In this book, it picks up at Rose receiving a note from Dimitri on him wanting to find her to finish what they started. Rose is of course still madly in love with Dimitri and she will do anything to find a cure for him and change him back to the Instructor and Lover she once knew. Lissa, her bestfriend is wanting to help her out and so our her other friends. I won't go into what happens though because I will ruin it for anyone who is reading this book or someone who hasn't even read the series and wants to read it. I will say this...the book takes a drastic twist at the middle and end of the book and believe me I as in SHOCK. I'm kind of mad right now. GRRR!! I have to wait until December for the next book to come out. If your interested on this book, I definitely recommend it...but if you haven't read the first 4 books, you need to start from the beginning first. Here's the excerpt from the back of the book from Richelle Mead's Website, I thought I share for anyone who wants to read the book: Dimitri gave Rose the ultimate choice. But she chose wrong… After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri’s birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir’s—and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can’t wait for their real lives beyond the Academy’s iron gates to begin. But Rose’s heart still aches for Dimitri, and he's out there, somewhere. She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true. Dimitri has tasted her blood, and she knows in her heart that he is hunting her. And if Rose won't join him, he won't rest until he's silenced her...forever
I give this book 5 STARS of course, just like I did "Blood Promise". Blood Promise is still my fave book out of the series still. I look forward to "Last Sacrifice" when it comes out the end of this year. I also look forward to what Richelle Mead is going to do in 2012. She is going to continue on, but not with Rose after "Last Sacrifice". I'm so excited!
Onto relaxing for a bit and see how long I can off starting "Bullet" which I just got in the mail yesterday. I can't wait to start reading it, but I need a little break. =)
XOXO,
FranJessca

"BULLET" How I've been looking forward to your arrival!!

It came in the mail today and I haven't been that excited for a book in awhile.
"Bullet" by Laurel K. Hamilton. The 19th book to her Anita Blake Series. I'm so wanting to put down the current book I'm reading to read this book because I know once I start reading it I won't want to put it down.
I've been reading this series since the end of last year when I finally could start reading it.
Thank you, Laurell K. Hamilton for writing this series. This series has actually gone to the top of my list of faves now. I prefer this series over Twilight and also Black Dagger Brotherhood.
I love the characters in the series and I really want to know what happens next to Anita. The last book "Flirt", had me crying. I felt terrible for Anita. I'm so looking forward to reading this book once I'm done reading "Spirit Bound".
Thank you again, Laurell K. Hamilton and I know you are writing the next book to the series and us readers love you for it. =) Here's hoping though, your getting time to yourself and you family though. I know how much you put into "Bullet" to make it come out. We also thank you for giving us double fixes of Anita this year. =)
XOXO,
FranJessca

Book 105 "Kiss of a Demon King" by Kresley Cole

It's been along time since I finished a book, but as you can see I've been really busy. I had surgery last Thursday on my leg and my work schedule changed. I'm now on 30 days convalescent leave so I have time to catch up on reading, editing photos and making boutique items. Although, right now I'm taking a break from all three because I have a migraine. =( I haven't had a migraine for 2 weeks now since I started my new work schedule 0730-1530. Ugh! Hopefully, the migraine will go away since I took my migraine medication. Onto the book I just finished though "Kiss of a Demon King" by Kresley Cole. I actually didn't start reading this book until two weeks ago. Although, my goodreads and thereadingroom website states May 8th. I actually had a hard time reading this book because of my schedule. I finally had time to finish it this morning. It's about Rydstrom Woede, the Demon King and Sabine, the Sorceress of Illusions. Remember I just got done reading about Rydstroms brother, Cadeon (which I loved his story), but Rydstrom's story wasn't interesting until the very end of the book. I felt like the book dragged on and on, then it finally got interesting around the 40th chapter. Sabine to me, wasn't my favorite female character of the series. This is from the Amazon website on description of the book: HIS OBSESSION... Sabine, Sorceress of Illusions: the evil beauty who surrenders her body, but not her heart. HER DOWNFALL... Rydstrom Woede: the ruthless warrior who vows to keep her at all costs. THEY WERE NEVER SUPPOSED TO WANT EACH OTHER THIS MUCH... With each smoldering encounter, their shared hunger only increases. If they can defeat the sinister enemy that stands between them, will Sabine make the ultimate sacrifice for her demon? Or will the proud king lay down his crown and arms to save his sorceress?
Now I'm going to take a break from reading this series since I need to read "Spirit Bound" by Richelle Mead. I've been waiting patiently to read it and now I can.
I'm looking forward to continuing this series though, the Immortals After Dark Series once I'm done reading "Spirit Bound".
Hope everyone is having a GREAT Memorial Day weekend.
XOXO,
FranJessca

Mama's doing Good all because of an AMAZING Family!

Well, here's a picture of my leg. My thigh and knee are all wrapped up in this dressing. It's really hot and it's starting to get really uncomfortable and I can't wait until I can take it off. Although, I'm not looking forward to how it looks underneath. I'll have to get my stitches removed next month. The pain meds are working wonders, but when the meds wear off, BEWARE, I'm in serious pain and I have a red-head heated temper. LOL I'm getting spoiled by my Husband and Daughter. They have been taking care of me since I came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. I <3 them both so much! Alexia is making sure I'm comfortable in bed and Hubby is taking care of the food and drinks for me. I also have my very own bodyguard and escort when I'm on crutches. My Cane Corso puppy escorts me around the house to make sure I don't have obstacles in my way and also makes sure I'm okay on my crutches. He also makes sure I get safely to my bed. He is just the cutest ever. Hubby thought he would jump on me when I got out of the hospital yesterday, but instead he was gentle with Mommy. He had the worried look on his face...Like Mommy is hurt so I must protect her. =) I'm so LOVED by my family. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes I've received in the last couple of days. I love you all and I just wanted to update you and say I'm doing fine. I have the most amazing family and friends who are taking care of me. I'm hoping I can move around alittle bit more tomorrow. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. XOXO, FranJessca

To My Family and Friends...I'm Well! =)

I came out of my surgery yesterday morning, feeling very groggy and not remembering a thing which is GOOD. =) The pain was excrutiating for awhile until they gave me pain medication. Now I'm home and doing good, except for the fact I have some serious pain once I try to walk on my right leg. Yes, I'm going to listen to my original doctor and use the crutches since he's the one I've been seeing for 3 months now. In two weeks I'll get the stitches removed and then discuss Physical Therapy since they tore into my thigh muscle to remove the tumor out of my distal femur. I'm so glad it's gone now and that they didn't have to use a plate and screws. This surgery had me nervous, but I'm glad it's overwith and I'm home now for 30 days to recover. My husband and daughter are taking care of me. =) I love them both so much. I even got greeted by my puppy, Rambo. He missed me because I've never seen a dog wag his whole entire body before and lick like crazy. LOL He knew I was hurt so he's been very gentle with me. He's even escorting me around the house since I'm on crutches. My Rambo, being my protector. He's so CUTE!
So what I'll be doing for the next few days...I'll be catching up on editing family photos, preparing for Alexia's Dance Recital and taking it very EASY!
That's the latest update with me. I promise to catch up on reading too since it's been awhile.
Hope everyone has a GREAT and SAFE Memorial Day Weekend!!
XOXO,
FranJessca

Oh Yes, my NEW BABY!!!

About to Welcome my New Family Member to my house today once UPS delivers it...which they better soon because this Photographer is getting VERY anxious. =)
Check out my new Camera: HERE .... that I ordered.
Yes, it's full frame and yes I'm in love with it. I've been in LOVE with this camera since it came out. I've been wanting it as my Portraiture/Weddings Camera for awhile.
My Nikon D300 will be my backup camera and my (Action/Sports) Camera.
The D700 is the cheaper version to the D3 and does pretty much it does. It's full frame and if you haven't seen some of it's work you need to shoot over to dpreview.com and look at samples of it's work.
I'll be posting my samples once I try out the camera. I can't wait!!
I'm like a little girl again, waiting to open Christmas presents from Santa Claus on Christmas Day.
This camera is my present to myself for birthday and Christmas this year. =)

Book 104 "Kiss of Death" by Rachel Caine

Okay I finished reading "Kiss of Death" by Rachel Caine this afternoon. It's the 8th book to The Morganville Vampires Series. If you haven't read this series yet, you really need to. It's different from the Twilight Series. It follows the life of Clair Danvers in Morganville with her friends, Michael, Eve and Shane. I won't go into detail about it to much because I will give away the series to the people who haven't read the books yet.
Here's the description of Kiss of Death from Amazon.com: Vampire musician Michael Glass has attracted the attention of a big- time producer who wants to cut a demo and play some gigs-which means Michael will have to enter the human world. For this, he's been assigned escorts that include both a dangerous immortal as well as Michael's all-too-human friends. And with that mix of personalities, this is going to be a road trip from hell...
Let me just say I can't wait for the next book to come out in October. Claire and Shane are my favorite characters in this series. I also like Amelie for some reason.
Well, sorry I can't explain more about the book...but I'm off to run some errands before the portrait session I have scheduled later on this afternoon.
Hope everyone is having a TERRIFIC weekend.
XOXO,
FranJessca

Book 103 "The Reckoning" by Kelley Armstrong

Yeah...I finished another book because I'm really antsy to start reading some other books I have. One of them being from J.R. Ward. Yes, J.R. Ward is such a AWESOME Author, that I'm getting mad I haven't had a chance to start reading "Lover Mine".
Hopefully by this month I'll be able to.
Anywho...I finished reading "The Reckoning" by Kelley Armstrong. Its the last book to the Darkest Powers Series. The Series is about Chloe Saunders and her friends, Derek (a werewolf), Simon (a sorcerer) and Tori (a witch)...and also Liz (a poltergeist). The book is narrated by Chloe though. She's a very unique 15 year old...which means she can raise the dead and talk to spirits. She's otherwise known as a neocramancer. The book picks up from the last where Chloe and her friends are with Simon and Derek's father's friend, Andrew. He is helping them the kids hide from the Edison Group which want to experiment and/or kill them. The Edison group thinks the kids are too powerful and need to be rehabilitated. The kids though, just want to stay alive. Also, in this book Chloe finally finds out who she truly has feelings for...which I'm glad she picks who she does. =) Also, secrets revealed at the ending that blows everyone away.
I love Kelley Armstrong's book and this one I have to say was my favorite of the series. It had so much more to it then the first two books. I'm looking foward to reading the Otherworld Series by Kelley Armstrong now.
But for now...it's onto reading the Morganville Vampires Series by Rachel Caine. =)
Hope everyone is having a Great Weekend and all the Mother's out there have an Amazing Mother's Day tomorrow.
XOXO,
FranJessca

Book 102 "Burned" by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

I told myself I would slow down on reading, but once I picked up this book I had a hard time stopping. =) I finished "Burned" by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast this morning very early...let's just say 2:30am. I just wanted to finish it. It took me longer than the last one to finished "Tempted" because I tried to savor it...but it still was too quick for me and now I have to wait until January 4th, 2011 for the next book to come out..."Awakened". Ugh!!! Okay seriously, this book was amazing. It was slow at first...but it was leading up to the BEST parts. Zoey's soul was shattered from the last book and was now in the Otherworld. Stark, her Warrior felt like a failure and blamed himself so he was going to do anything to get her back. Steve Rae meanwhile was dealing with the Red Fledgings that almost killed her and her Raven Mocker, Rephaim. This book was mostly going back and forth to Italy to Okalohoma and then to Scotland (which by the way I can't wait to visit in a couple of years with my hubby since he was born there). I loved the ending the best because everything fell back into order...while somewhat in order and of course Zoey gained something else in the end with Stark. I'm so GLAD, Erik is not on her mind and was hardly in this book. Now Zoey can focus on her next step which comes later in Awakened. I still can't believe I have to wait until January though. Oh well...thank goodness I have other books to keep me company until then. Here is the exercept from the back of the book for anyone who is interested in reading this book or even this series: "When friends stop trusting each other, Darkness is there to fan the flames…. Things have turned black at the House of Night. Zoey Redbird’s soul has shattered. With everything she’s ever stood for falling apart, and a broken heart making her want to stay in the Otherworld forever, Zoey’s fading fast. It’s seeming more and more doubtful that she will be able pull herself back together in time to rejoin her friends and set the world to rights. As the only living person who can reach her, Stark must find a way to get to her. But how? He will have to die to do so, the Vampyre High Council stipulates. And then Zoey will give up for sure. There are only 7 days left… Enter BFF Stevie Rae. She wants to help Z but she has massive problems of her own. The rogue Red Fledglings are acting up, and this time not even Stevie Rae can protect them from the consequences. Her kinda boyfriend, Dallas, is sweet but too nosy for his own good. The truth is, Stevie Rae’s hiding a secret that might be the key to getting Zoey home but also threatens to explode her whole world. In the middle of the whole mess is Aphrodite: ex-Fledgling, trust-fund baby, total hag from Hell (and proud of it). She’s always been blessed (if you could call it that) with visions that can reveal the future, but now it seems Nyx has decided to speak through her with the goddess’s own voice, whether she wants it or not. Aphrodite’s loyalty can swing a lot of different ways, but right now Zoey’s fate hangs in the balance. Three girls… playing with fire… if they don’t watch out, everyone will get Burned."
Well, I'm onto my next book before I have to get ready for work...Yes, slowing down is not a option right at this moment. LOL
XOXO,
FranJessca

Book 101 "The Vampire...in my Dreams" by Terry Lee Wilde

Well...I finished yet another book before May is here. I finished reading "The Vampire...in my Dreams" by Terry Lee Wilde just a few moments ago. Terry Lee Wilde is also known as "Terry Spear"...I've already read some of her other books which I adore. This book though really didn't appeal to me like her other books...maybe because I'm used to the adult romance written from her and not her YA romance. Here is the description from the back of the book for anyone who wishes to know what the book is about: "Love bites when a seventeen-year-old vampire and witch tangle. Marissa Lakeland faces her worst nightmare one dark and misty night when she chases a gorgeous hunk of a guy to prove he's a vampire. So why does the thought of tall, dark and vampiric appeal to Marissa, when there's no way a vampire can compel a witch to do his bidding? At least that's what she's read in vampire lore. But lore can be mistaken. Fledgling vampire Dominic Vorchowski knows Marissa's the only one who can save him. Only why does she have to be a witch? Fate has thrown him together with the bewitching Marissa and if he gains her trust, he'll have his life back again. Except for that whole eternal thirst for blood thing. And the fangs. Not to mention the aversion to intense sunlight. In any event, he's set his sights on one girl who's totally off the menu. The centuries-old vamp Lynetta wants Dominic to replace the lover she lost, and no teenaged witch is going to take her guy away. Dominic and Marissa must stop the vampiress from winning the battle of the night.but time is running out"
I did like certain parts of the book that caught my attention more than other parts. One of them being how the ending was. There was a little bit more action towards the ending. I think I'm going to stick with Terry Spear's werewolf romance novels. =) Which I have one more to read before her newest book comes out in August...although it is still on hold to read because I just got "Burned" in from Amazon.com. "Burned" is from one of my fave series...the House of Night. I can't wait to read it and hopefully I can savor this one more than the other one I read. I tend to read these books too quick and then I get upset. LOL
Oh well...onto more reading. =)
XOXO,
FranJessca

Book 100 "Dark Desires After Dusk" by Kresley Cole

It's about time, I had a chance to finish my 100th book. Geez...life has been crazy busy the last couple of weeks that one whenever I had time to read, I had to put the book down after a few chapters. I was really getting frustrated. The month of April is almost overwith so I was worried I wouldn't finish my last book to make my goal. Thank goodness I did. Yeah!! 100 books! I made my goal and now I can hopefully slow down, while my Photography business takes off and Alexia's Dance Recital comes up in June. =)
I just finished reading "Dark Desires After Dusk" by Kresley Cole. I'm in love with Cadeon...the main squeeze in this book. So far, I think he's my favorite male character in Kresley Cole's books. He's a demon so he has some serious rage issues, but he controls them very well. Holly is his mate that he's been looking after for a year. She doesn't realize that she's half-Valkyrie until she is kidnapped one night from her work. Cadeon is still stessed out from losing his brother's crown. He is trying everything to get his brother's crown back for him since he feels that he messed up. I won't go into the details about the book because I'll give away too much. All I have to say is I'm going to have a hard time taking a break from this series. I love Kresley Cole's Immortal After Dark Series. =) She has become a top 5 favorite author to me.
Here's hoping I can have the rest of this series books finished before I go in for surgery next month.
XOXO,
FranJessca

Book 99 "Hourglass" by Claudia Gray

I promised I would blog once I got home from work about the book I finished reading this morning. I finished reading finally the last book to the Evernight Series, "Hourglass" by Claudia Gray. It was much better than the 2nd one since their was more action. The ending though, had a twist to it I loved. I can't wait until the 4th book. I'm mad though of something that did happen that I wish didn't. =( Bianca and Lucas got to be together more in this book and Balthazar ended up getting hurt, which made me cry a bit.
The book still didn't have the same excitement like the other books I'm read though. I'm in love with the Immortal After Dark Series, LOTW Series, HoN Series and BDBH Series. I can't wait until the end of this month when the next HoN and BDBH Series comes out. Yes, this Mommy is very EXCITED!! =)
Otherwise, I am looking forward to the next Evernight Series book. Sorry I won't go into much detail, but this Lady is super tired.
Onto my next book tomorrow since I have one more book to read.
XOXO,
FranJessca

Just finished yet another book...

I promise to blog about the book I just read as soon as I get off work tonight. I'm 1 book away from goal. =)

Book 98 "Stargazer" by Claudia Gray

Yes...I finally finished "Stargazer" by Claudia Gray. I made time every night to at least read 3-5 chapters depending if I wasn't sleepy after work. I wasn't really feeling this book. After the first couple of chapters it just wasn't interesting to me. I almost didn't read it all the way. I have never done that while reading. I stuck it out though and decided to finish the book. I'm hoping the next book in the series is a little better. The book just didn't have much action to it that I'm used to. Not much fighting and the storyline just drug out. I found out some interesting stuff about Bianca though in this book. Bianca ended up hanging out with Balthazar more too and Lucas was in the book too, but not as much as Balthazar was. The ending was what upset the most though. Finally the book got to some excited parts to it and the ending just cuts off. Ugh!!! Here's hoping Hourglass picks up with a better twist to it and more action. I still like Claudia Gray, it's just maybe this series isn't that much like the ones I'm used to reading. Maybe if I read these books first out of all the books I already read, I would've like it more. Oh well...we'll see what the next book in the Everynight Series is like before I start judging.

Book 97 "Dark Needs at Night's Edge" by Kresley Cole

Okay, it's been awhile since I finished another book. I've been slacking, but now I only have 3 more books until I reach my goal and then I really can start slowing down a bit since Photography season has started up again for me. =)
So what did I finish now..."Dark Needs at Night's Edge" by Kresley Cole. I was reading Stargazer for a bit, but then stopped once I realized I missed the Immortal After Dark Series.
This book made me cry. I love Neomi and Conrad. Both of these characters are perfect for each other. The title of the book says it all about Conrad. Conrad is a Vampire...and is also known as a Fallen Vampire...which everyone fears. He has red eyes and kills for a living. Neomi is a prima-ballerina...or used to be one at least...until she was brutally murdered in her home 80 years ago to a ex-fiance. Neomi is a ghost in her home now and Conrad is imprisoned there by his 3 other brothers. Conrad hates his brothers, especially Nikolai and Murdoch who changed him to his Vampire self. Once Conrad meets Neomi though, he starts changing. He doesn't know if it's Neomi or just being imprisoned. He wants Neomi to be a human again so he knows for sure. Neomi has fallen in love with Conrad the minute he steps foot in her house and his chained up. She is fascinated with him and his brothers.
I won't say anymore about the story because I ruin it for anyone who hasn't read it yet. I loved this book because it made me cry. The horrors that both of them have been put through and still have to go through...makes them stronger and perfect for each other. I have to say this is my favorite book in the Immortal After Dark Series so far. I can't wait to read the next...but I think I'm going to read more of Stargazer and hopefully finish it by the end of this week, if I can. I have 3 more books now to reach my goal of 100. I wonder how many books I'll be finished reading by the end of this year. Next month though, I have to buy 6-8 new books from series I've already been reading. I can't wait until Burned is out the end of next month. =)
Now to enjoy the rest of this beautiful Tuesday.

Book 96 "Evernight" by Claudia Gray

I am offically 4 books away from my goal. Wahoo!!
I just finished reading "Evernight" by Claudia Gray. It's a YA book and I needed a break from the Immortal After Dark Series. It was time for something different and believe me this was something different. It's about Bianca and Lucas. Bianca is attending Evernight Academy and she doesn't feel like she fits in there so when she tries to run away, she runs into Lucas who will be attending the Academy also. She falls for Lucas the moment she meets him. The only thing is, is that both Bianca and Lucas are keeping secrets from each other...it could tear them apart or keep them together forever. I won't go into the details of the book because I'll give away the book too much. I enjoyed getting away from the adult paranormal romance for awhile. I wanted a book that I knew I quickly read. I tend to savor my adult romance books more it seems. LOL =) What can I say I enjoy some of the scenes in the books.
So onto the next book in the Evernight Series....I'll let you know how it is in the next few days. Although, it may take me awhile since I start back working tomorrow night. I also plan on reading another Immortal After Dark Series while I'm working. We'll see which book I can finish first. Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend.

Book 95 "Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night" by Kresley Cole

Yeah...I finished a book in a reasonable time this time because I was determined not to finish a book in a week again. That is just too long for me. I enjoy finishing books in a short amount of time. Now I am 5 books away from my goal: 100 books. Once I hit my goal, I'll start slowing down a bit...hopefully. =) So the book I finished was "Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night" by Kresley Cole. I was kind of disappointed in this book a bit. Maybe I just didn't like certain parts of the book. It didn't have much scenes in it that was exciting like the rest of the books I've read. I loved the characters Mariketa the Awaited. Her goals were first to her, she didn't want to have a distraction in her life just yet...but here comes Bowen from the Lykae Clan. He has been drepressed for amost two centuries since he supposedly lost his mate...but now he is starting to think Mariketa could be his mate reincarted. He falls for Mariketa the first time he sees her and Mariketa also feels something for Bowen, but tries to hide it at first. Mariketa is having to deal with too much in her life so she tries everything to get Bowen to leave her alone. She's a Mortal witch who is hopefully going to turn into a Immortal soon. She is going to be one powerful witch once she fully grows into her powers. Her Coven is trying to help her out...but of course Bowen is not liking the fact Mariketa is a witch anyways because he has been against them for years, but in the book, he will find away to accept Mariketa for who she is.
I'm taking a break from the Immortals After Dark Series for a bit since I just received some new books in yesterday from Barnes and Noble. These books have been on my list for "Books I've been looking forward to" for awhile and I just can't wait to read them. Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend.

Book 94 "No Rest for the Wicked" by Kresley Cole

Okay, yes I realize it has taken me awhile to finish this book...."No Rest for the Wicked" by Kresley Cole...but life has been busy for me. I really enjoyed this book, but it did take awhile to finish it because I didn't get a chance to read it everyday. =( I have reading withdrawals whenever I can't read...and believe me I think I was getting mad about not finishing this book in a timely manner that I'm used to. Longer than a week, is not acceptable to me at all. Well, I'll get over it since I'll hopefully have more time to finish my next book that I plan on reading. I better, otherwise, someone will feel the wrath of me.
This book was about Sebastian Wroth (Vampire) and Kaderin the Cold Hearted (Valkyrie). If you remember from Playing Easy to Get, there was a story of Nikolai Wroth...well, Sebastian is Nikolai's brother. Sebastian has been not himself since he was turned vampire along time ago, until he meets his Bride Kaderin. He goes through so many obstacles with Kaderin, I don't know even why he bothered with her. Kaderin has felt anything since her two sisters died...until she meets Sebastian and she starts feeling again. Kaderin is too busy trying to win the Hie again and Sebastian will do anything to help her and also win her over. I ended up crying at the end because Kaderin ends up going through the biggest ordeal ever. I won't tell you what because I definitely don't want to ruin the ending. This book has some AMAZING scenes in it...that I had to go back and read a few more times. =) I love how Kresley Cole wrote this book. Maybe it was a good thing I didn't finish it so fast...because I got to enjoy it a little more.
On to my next book probably after work this evening. It's back to work for me...and I'm actually looking forward to it. My co-workers are the most amazing people to work with.
XOXO,
FranJessca

Book 93 "A Hunger Like No Other" by Kresley Cole

Just finished reading "A Hunger Like No Other" by Kresley Cole and what a VERY Yummy book it was. =) Thank you, Kresley Cole for being yet another amazing author who I will be following from now on. Thank you to Gena Showalter (one of my FAVE authors) for letting me know about Kresley Cole. I love Kresley Cole's book series The Immortals After Dark Series. It has some Scottish characters in it. Yum! The first book...or should I say 2nd book since Playing Easy to Get had the first story to the series...is about Lachlain, who is a werewolf and he's is Scottish. ***I'm married to a half-Scottish Man*** =) And Emmaline who is half-Valkyrie and half-Vampire. Lachlain has been locked away and tortured for 15 decades ends up smelling his Mate...yes..I said smelling and gets free to find her. He is torn though at first because his mate is half-vampire and vampires are the ones who locked him away to be tortured by fire. Emmaline is a timid woman and is trying to find out about her father who is/was a Vampire and her Mother was Valkyrie. I won't get into any more detail about the book...but just to tell you how yummy and enthralled I was with reading this book. It took me 3 days, but that's because I was so busy doing other things, I had to make time to read this book and once I started reading it, I had a hard time putting it down. My daughter had to pry it from me last night so I could go to bed. =)
So now I'm moving on to the next book to the series and I can't wait! I may just start reading it tonight before I go to bed. Although, I'm beyond exhausted, I always make time to at least read 5 chapters.
I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves Paranormal Romance. I love this Genre of books. =)

Book 92 "Playing Easy to Get" by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Jaid Black, & Kresley Cole

Okay, let me tell you, I read Kresley Cole's story first in this book because I'm moving on to her series first...Immortals After Dark. One of my favorite authors adores Kresley Cole so I thought I read her books to see how she is and believe me Kresley Cole is an AMAZING Author. If you remember back last year I received "Deep Kiss of Winter" in the mail with both Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole's signatures in it. I hadn't had a chance to read the book because I wanted to read Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark from the very beginning. At the time I was reading Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Series so I didn't have time to read anything written by Kresley Cole. Now I'm officially moved onto Kresley Cole's books. Wahoo!! So the first book is a anthrology with other authors, "Playing Easy to Get". I'll move onto Kresley Cole's story first which is: "The Warlord Wants Forever". This story is the 3rd story in the book. My husband of course thought I finished the book in one day, but I didn't. I just chose to read the last story first. =) I loved how Kresley started off explaining how Valkyrie came about first and then jumped into the characters story. It then leaded into the next book that Kresley wrote, which I'm beginning to read now. I won't get into detail about the story because I'll give away some parts. I have to say Kresley has become another author I'll be following from now on. =) Onto the other stories in the book: Sherrilyn Kenyon is the first author in the book and I have some of her books already, but I have aways to go to collect everything she has wrote. Her story in the book was "Turn Up the Heat" which was really YUMMY! =) It's the story about ex-Mafia Vince and a country girl Allison. Allison always thought good things wouldn't come to her until she won a contest and met the love of her life Vince. It's a story about Sherrilyn Kenyon's series B.A.D Series, which I can't wait to get into later on. The last story I read was from Jaid Black "Hunter's Oath" which is from Jaid Black's Viking Series. That was yet another Yummy story, which went into a little more details, if you know what I mean. =) All 3 authors have become a part of my favorites now and I can't wait to read all their series. =) Thanks to Gena Showalter for already liking Kresley Cole's stories and now I can read the other two authors too. Sorry I didn't discuss much about the stories...but I will give too much away. I enjoyed this anthrology and can't wait to read more books like it in the future. =) The title explains it all on what the stories are about that is all you need to know....Playing easy to get. =) Onto my next book....which is written by Kresley Cole. I'm getting close to my goal which means I'll be able to slow down my reading to do other things. Spring time is almost here which means Photography will be back in business. I can't wait!! Book 91 "Immortal by Gillian Shields

I finished yet another book for this month. =) "Immortal" by Gillian Shields. I came across it on my Kindle store when I was looking for new books to read. I've had it for awhile, but just now got a chance to read it. I loved the storyline of it since it's totally different from my vampire books I read. It's about a boy wanting to be an immortal and a girl who can help him become immortal. The story is about Evie Johnson and how she comes across Sebastian James when she was on her way to her school at Wlydcliffe.
I had moments where I didn't seem interested in the book, but then the author would surprise me with a twist in the story and I had to read on. I don't rate this book one of my favorites, but I still enjoyed it. I needed a break from vampires and my normal paranormal romance (freakish) for awhile. Now back to my old ways after this book...and I'm going to start reading Kresley Cole's Books now. I can't wait!! I've almost collected her Immortal After Dark Series books. I'm just needing to buy the most recent one. =) I can't wait to indulge in this series. Since one of my favorite authors is Gena Showalter and Gena knows Kresley and loves this series of books...I had to pick up Kresley Cole's books. =)
So I'll start readin my next book this evening, hopefully. I can't wait!!

Book 90 "Hush, Hush" by Becca Fitzpatrick

I found a author, who debuted her first book: Becca Fitzpatrick and boy, is it a hit with me. I just finished reading "Hush, Hush" on my Amazon Kindle. I started reading it yesterday and finished it today. That should narrow it down if I liked it or not, huh? =) It was 400 pages long, as per Amazon.com since I don't own the book in paperback.
It's about Nora Grey...I normal girl...who lives a normal life. She lost her father and her mother works alot of hours and leaves town a lot so they can keep their farmhouse in Maine. She has a crazy, but loving bestfriend Vee whom she tells all her secrets too. Their basically inseparable...until she meets Patch. The mysterious new boy, who she seems drawn to for some reason. She knows in the back in her mind, she shouldn't trust Patch because everything he is...speaks trouble. Unfortunately, though Nora doesn't listen to her head, when it comes to Patch. She finds herself in a lot of trouble in the book. Someone is stalking her and she believes is also trying to kill her. Her bestfriend Vee thinks she's just paranoid and her Mom is never home so Nora can tell her. Nora has to trust in Patch, which she still has trouble in doing.
I loved how every chapter, left you hanging for more. At the ending was a twist though, I wasn't really expecting. Becca definitely had me thinking about else was going to happen.
I'm looking forward to the sequel which comes out this Fall..."Crescendo". I'm wondering what is going to happen next.
As you remember me telling you, I was attempting to read "The Lightning Thief", but I didn't get very far at all with it. I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm into those kinds of books. It's probably a great book, but for me, I'm not into something like that at all. It's just like the Harry Potter Series. I love J.K. Rowling, she's an amazing author. I probably would've love the Harry Potter Series and Olympian Series back when I was 10 years old...but now I'm more into steamy books that have me wondering what's going to happen next...Paranormal Romance and Horror are my favorites right now. I love every author I've read so far. I'm so glad to come across a author who just brought out their first book. I can't wait to read Becca Fitzpatrick's next book and so on and so on. She's become a Favorite to me. =)
Now on to bed with me since I have a lot to tomorrow. I promised myself, I wouldn't try to read another book tonight..we'll see how that goes. =)
XOXO,
FranJessca
