Well...I finished yet another book before May is here. I finished reading "The Vampire...in my Dreams" by Terry Lee Wilde just a few moments ago. Terry Lee Wilde is also known as "Terry Spear"...I've already read some of her other books which I adore. This book though really didn't appeal to me like her other books...maybe because I'm used to the adult romance written from her and not her YA romance.
Here is the description from the back of the book for anyone who wishes to know what the book is about:
"Love bites when a seventeen-year-old vampire and witch tangle. Marissa Lakeland faces her worst nightmare one dark and misty night when she chases a gorgeous hunk of a guy to prove he's a vampire. So why does the thought of tall, dark and vampiric appeal to Marissa, when there's no way a vampire can compel a witch to do his bidding? At least that's what she's read in vampire lore. But lore can be mistaken. Fledgling vampire Dominic Vorchowski knows Marissa's the only one who can save him. Only why does she have to be a witch? Fate has thrown him together with the bewitching Marissa and if he gains her trust, he'll have his life back again. Except for that whole eternal thirst for blood thing. And the fangs. Not to mention the aversion to intense sunlight. In any event, he's set his sights on one girl who's totally off the menu. The centuries-old vamp Lynetta wants Dominic to replace the lover she lost, and no teenaged witch is going to take her guy away. Dominic and Marissa must stop the vampiress from winning the battle of the night.but time is running out"
I did like certain parts of the book that caught my attention more than other parts. One of them being how the ending was. There was a little bit more action towards the ending. I think I'm going to stick with Terry Spear's werewolf romance novels. =) Which I have one more to read before her newest book comes out in August...although it is still on hold to read because I just got "Burned" in from Amazon.com. "Burned" is from one of my fave series...the House of Night. I can't wait to read it and hopefully I can savor this one more than the other one I read. I tend to read these books too quick and then I get upset. LOL
Oh well...onto more reading. =)
XOXO,
FranJessca
