Book 65 "Enslave Me Sweetly" by Gena Showalter

I've been slacking on reading, but that's because it was Thanksgiving and I've been working also. =) I had to break for a bit. I'm actually not really taking a break. I'm reading two books at a time now it seems. LOL I'm reading "Shadowland" by Alyson Noel and I just finished "Enslave Me Sweetly" by Gena Showalter. "Shadowland", I have been reading at home since it's a hardcover and I actually purchased my first audiobook. =) So I'm reading along with the audiobook which is beyond slow. I was reading "Enslave Me Sweetly" at work which I have to say was really good. It's about a Other-worlder, Eden Black who is an assassin for the A.I.R., her parents were killed when she was 4 years old and the Boss of the A.I.R. took her in. She's a Raka, so she's a other-worlder. She has gold skin and gold hair so humans tend to hunt her kind just to sell off Raka's skin and hair since it's real gold. She ends up failing a assignment, which she has never failed before so she takes it to heart. The person who she was meant to assassinate is selling off humans as slaves to other-worlders. She ends up having to get a partner, who is Luscius, and she doesn't want a partner. Evenutally she is drawned to her partner like nothing she has ever felt before and same is with Luscius. They end up having to work together and find the original assassin, she met to kill. The book definitely draws you in from the beginning. Even some of my co-workers were fascinated with it. I'm going to hold off on reading the next book to the Alien Huntress Series until I finish the Anita Blake Series books that I finally got in the mail. "Blue Moon" is what I'm reading now at home. I love the Anita Blake Series. I'm looking forward to the other books after the 9th book though. It gets really interesting it seems.
Now I'm off to chill for a bit at home and later on run some errands. We're almost done putting the Christmas tree up. We started putting it up yesterday, but ended up running out of hooks for the ornaments. This year the Christmas tree is going to have a Mardi Gras theme to it. =) Gotta show off where my Hubby is from: Louisiana.
XOXO,
